Wow, it has been quite the trip this year. The rush of demand, and learning new ways to do business has been an unimaginable challenge, but we are so fortunate to be in the position we are in. We wanted to give a brief update as it has been a while since our last post.
Our retail showroom at 263 S. Main St. Middleton, MA 01949 is NOW OPEN to the public. Our hours are 9 am – 5 pm and Saturday 9 am – 4 pm.
Masks are of course required and we are asking our customers to self-police a 4 customer maximum inside to help maintain social distancing. We have a marked-out traffic pattern to follow when you walk in to help with this as well. All staff in the showroom are wearing masks and we have hand sanitizer at the register, and at every employee desk/workstation.
Water testing is now done on demand, no need to drop off and wait for a callback. Of course, if preferred just let us know and you can drop the water test off, and request a curbside pickup.
A few things to note:
Above ground pools – still sold out NATIONWIDE. We are hoping to get some at the end of July but there are shortages in many other areas, ladders, filter systems, and pool liners.
Hot Tubs – We have almost sold out multiple times and do not have much ready to deliver inventory remaining. We are preselling spas off of incoming truckload orders. Special order hot tubs would not be received until the end of December/January 2021 at this point. However, we have tubs from all 3 manufactures on their way every month. Our next shipment is expected end of this month with more spas arriving each month until the end of the year. If you want a specific spa and it is on one of those trucks keep in mind, we do expect these trucks to sell out before they arrive at our door.
Specialty Parts and Accessories – There are extreme shortages in all areas of the pool and spa industry, from parts, accessories, to heaters, pumps, and slat generators. It may take multiple days if not weeks to get a part order right now.
If you have not seen on the News, Wall St. Journal, or New York Times, the pool and hot tub industry is experiencing one of the biggest booms of any industry in the country this year. People are staying home and want to optimize their backyard space. Unfortunately, there have been a couple of companies in our area that did not re-open or severely cut back on the work they could do during this time. This led to an enormous rush of new customers to our service department. We had to bring in some help and train on the fly and we were not prepared for such a huge spike in demand. It has been extremely challenging keeping up, we have made some mistakes, learned A LOT, and we are investing in our people and processes in order to raise our level of service to meet your demand.
But there have been and will be growing pains during this. Our small team is jumping in, busting their butts, and doing the best they can to get you swimming! We thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this, we are excited to see where we can take this going forward.
If you have any questions please give us a call at 978-774-7005
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon.
